''You can just exit that in accordance with the contract terms by phone, or in writing.''ĭirect debits continuing after a contract has been cancelled can be a problem, says Dan Simpson, a spokesman for Victoria's Consumer Action Law Centre. ''But don't labour under the misguided notion that you have to go in and have an appointment and be told you're a quitter,'' he says.
